Human-centered computing has a long history at CU Boulder, beginning with professors like Peter Polson, Tom Landauer, Gerhard Fischer, Clayton Lewis, Skip Ellis and Walter Kintsch. Today’s faculty and students continue this legacy, and can be found in academic homes across the university.

Undergraduate programs Human-Centered Computing (HCC) has been a focus area in the Department of Information Systems since 1983, and there is a rich history of teaching and research in this area.
